End Of The Year

Oh look, it's that nifty thing again!>>>
Wow, 2017. That's like a whole year away!

All jokes aside, it's been a great year. As I mentioned in my end of the year special, I've improved more in this one year than any other year on YouTube!

That's why I don't take a trip down memory lane very often!

Seriously, I only leave that stuff up just to haunt me later in life when I'm 50 and all my hair falls out. I'll be like "that's what life was like before I hit rock bottom... or at least when I first hit it."

Otherwise, yes this year was a blast. Even though it's just a number that really has no significance whatsoever and the only meaning it has is the one we attach to it, and pretty much tomorrow and next year are no different from today and we're all just basic human beings with an elevated sense of self significance that all our works will be destroyed eventually, but I digress.

So, how 'bout them new year's resolutions that you will never accomplish? I know I made some. Probably won't accomplish any of them, but hey, by this time next year I won't even remember what I meant to accomplish. Life has it's way of doing that kind of thing ya know?

Seriously though, I hope to further improve my skills in everything this coming year. This year's been great for that, but next year will be even better.

Well, it's about time I wrap up this post before I repeat myself. This will be the last transmission from me in 2016. So my last message to me in a few years as I currently live in a state completely ignorant to the terrible, terrible things that will happen to me later in life: stay crafty.

Merry Christmas

What's that nifty thing? >>

Time sure does slip away. What felt like a few weeks turned into a few months. I really have nothing to post except that I wanted to share the Gif that I made (the only problem is the watermark in the corner that is driving me crazy).

What's new with me?

Thanks for asking! I've hardy uploaded anything since the last post. That's cool. I've been more focused on making better quality content (that's a lie) than quantity. Rather than having a weekly schedule (that I loosely followed) I upload when I can. I'm more focused on producing a BIG project for each month rather than several small half-baked videos. This months (not so) big project was Odilon which was a book project that I worked on with help from my friends from my Johnny Backseed series. 

What else is new?

Again, I'm flattered that you ask, but quite frankly it's stuff that I don't think you'd care about. Ya know, school, family, the usual if you catch my drift. As much I would love to tell you about the time I fought off killer octopuses, it just so happens that it never happened. :)

Are you going to post regularly now?

Updates

Wait, you're telling me  I have a blog? No way.
The truth is I haven't thought much about this blog for quite awhile. I have a few things to update on.

First thing is I have updated my channel's icon, banner, and trailer. My icon is my character Greg. My channel banner is something colorful and my trailer is the latest episode of Johnny Backseed. It's a bit scaled down from what it was previously. However, I realized that only after a year my icon, banner, and channel trailer were not representative of my skill level anymore. By scaling things back a bit I won't have to update these things as often.

 Other than that. I have made several new videos. I haven't made as many as usual as I am no longer doing animations like how I used to. I decided I want better equipment to work with for that. With that out of the way. I am working on some bigger and better projects.

Crabapple News

This is me!!>>
I have been pretty inactive for the past few weeks on Youtube. For a variety of reasons, but mostly because I needed to recuperate after that Johnny Backseed video (directing a project is a TON of work). As I was taking a break and because I needed to upload a video I made a compilation of all the unfinished voice work I have. These are all from the year of 2015 when I started doing voice work (with one exception; I made one thing a few years ago that I decided to throw in). I used most of what I could find. Some stuff was so horrible that I could not include it, and some projects I couldn't find. Click here to watch it. I suggest watching it as there is stuff that I like in it but for various reasons I couldn't finish them (and some because they are just plain BAD).

However, the main focus of this post is my new project that I developed. It's called "Crabapple News" which - as the name would suggest - is a news video. This is kind of similar to the Johnny Backseed show due to the comedic writing style. The events are not real (obviously) but it's just for entertainment. This one I just uploaded is a test. In the future I may find other actors to be in it, but in this one, I do all of the voices. This was very fun to make, and just to let you all know, that robot voice in the "Crafty Corner" segment practically killed me (as well as the kid at the end). Click here to watch it. 

My next project will (probably) the "Crafty Corner" segment but blown up to be bigger (rather than 20 seconds like in this video).

The Project Is Completed!

New Video + Minor Project Update

Just dropping by to say that I have a new video uploaded. Go to my channel to view it. That's not the main reason though, the main reason is that the project I mentioned in my last post is going VERY well; I'm quite surprised by the amount of auditions and the level of talent of each and every person who auditioned possesses. I'll start casting within the next few days in which I'll be sending out individualized scripts and sets of mock up lines to the actors/actresses for their respective roles. Everything should be done by the end of the month so stay tuned for that.

Happy Valentine's Day + New Project

Happy Valentine's day! To celebrate I drew up a picture to go with the occasion. To see that click here. The new project that is mentioned is going to be the fourth installment of the Johnny Backseed show, however this one is different from the last three: I'm assembling a cast for this one. So far the auditions are going really well, and I have pretty solid choices to go off of, however I need someone for "Caller 2" in the project. To audition either go to this website or to this one. Or you can send an audition through the email listed on both websites. I'm hoping to have this all done by the end of the month.

New Year, New Content

This is me!!>>
It's a brand new year. I haven't uploaded very much yet as I have had a horrible writer's block and no motivation pretty much all of January, I am slowly recovering from this but once I do, I guarantee a bunch of new animations and a load of voice work. Expect that in the near future. So far this year I only uploaded "The Happy Man" and "7even Sense 2" and then "Jeremy Helps Everyone".

"The Happy Man" is the first video I uploaded. It's really short and only one frame. It was a way to try and get me to snap out of this writer's block, but it didn't really help. Overall, it's not that great, I'm unhappy with pretty much everything about it.

The second video is "7even Sense 2". I actually wrote the script to this back in December, however I didn't get around to record it until recently. This was fun to make, I did the voice of Dikki 7even again and Suasagerolls234 did Jam's voice again. This is still an accurate representation of "Sixx Sense" which it parodies.

The most recent video is "Jeremy Helps Everyone". It's pretty much a part two to "Jeremy Wicket" but this time I got a few other people to act. This was fun to make, I got Suasagerolls234 to voice a character as well as the two other actors from "7even Sense (Sixx Sense Parody) ". I again did Jeremy's voice.
